Before William

Isaac had a career week and one day he dressed up like he was going for an interview.  He is so handsome.  Crocs and all.

Blake recently got a fishing pole and our friends took us to the park for Blake's first fishing lesson.  First we had hot dogs.
I love how James eats--everything gets everywhere.
Here is Blake's fishing lesson.

Funny story: so the week after William was born Blake and James went fishing with friends again and the dads kept telling the boys not to get too close to the water.  James and his friend Oliver were throwing sticks in, of course.  Well, James got too close and fell in.  Blake feels a little guilty he stopped for a couple seconds to empty his pockets of phone and iPod before jumping in after him.  James was traumatized and doesn't want to go fishing again.
Isaac's buddy Nevin had surgery so Isaac tried to cheer him up by making him an elaborate Batman because Nevin likes Batman.
This is really after the baby was born, but I stuck it on here--Isaac told me I was the best mom ever because I gave him a sour cream container to collect caterpillars in.  They were his pride and joy for a few weeks and he was constantly checking on them.  But they never got chrysalises and a few died and eventually we let them go.  Luckily in his classroom they had caterpillars which were successful in turning into butterflies.

Why do I let the kids outside in their sunday clothes?  Look at those knees...
